We attach great importance to the protection of your data. In order to fully inform you about the use of personal data, we ask you to take note of the following data protection information. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (GDPR, TKG 2003).
GENERAL
If you contact us (by telephone, in writing, by e-mail or website), the data you provide will be stored by us for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent. If the contact enquiry results in a business relationship, the statutory retention period applies to the deletion of the data.
The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. Insofar as personal data (e.g. name, address or e-mail addresses) is collected on our website, this is always done on a voluntary basis as far as possible. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent. We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
WEB SERVER LOG
To ensure the smooth functioning of websites and, if necessary, to rectify errors, there are always logs on the web server where IP addresses are stored. Like many other companies, we also operate our website via the servers of a professional service provider. Although IP addresses alone do not constitute personal data, they could theoretically be assigned to individuals with the help of tracking tools. In addition, the time, browser type and page accessed are stored. These logs are deleted after one month.
CONTACT FORM
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. However, your enquiry can only be used by you and sent to us electronically if you expressly agree to this data protection and data use declaration by clicking on it. We will not pass on this data without your consent. In this respect, please note our privacy policy.
COOKIES
Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your end device with the help of the browser. They do not cause any damage. We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. They enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit. If you do not want this, you can set up your browser so that it informs you about the setting of cookies and you only allow this in individual cases. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of our website may be restricted.

The information generated in this way is transferred to the server of the respective provider and stored there.
You can prevent this by setting up your browser so that no cookies are stored. Your IP address is recorded, but immediately pseudonymised by deleting the last eight bits. This means that only a rough localisation is possible.
Data processing is carried out on the basis of the statutory provisions of Section 96 (3) TKG and Article 6 (1) (a) (consent) and/or (legitimate interest) of the GDPR.
Our concern within the meaning of the GDPR (legitimate interest) is the improvement of our offer and our website. As the privacy of our users is important to us, the user data is pseudonymised.

FACEBOOK-PLUGINS (LIKE-BUTTON) – DATA PROTECTION DECLARATION FOR USE
Plugins from the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA are integrated on our pages. Facebook receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. If you click on the Facebook “Like” button while you are logged into your Facebook account, you can link the content of our pages to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to associate your visit to our pages with your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Facebook. NEWSLETTER
We only send newsletters, emails and other electronic notifications with advertising information (hereinafter “newsletter”) with the consent of the recipient or with legal authorisation. If the contents of the newsletter are specifically described when registering for the newsletter, they are decisive for the user’s consent. Our newsletters also contain information about product developments, event dates and project presentations.
Double opt-in and logging
The new registration for our newsletter takes place in a so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that after registering, you will receive an e-mail asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that no-one can register with other people’s e-mail addresses.
Subscriptions to the newsletter are logged in order to be able to prove the registration process in accordance with legal requirements. This includes storing the time of registration and confirmation as well as the IP address. Changes to your data stored with MailChimp are also logged.
Login data
To subscribe to the newsletter, simply enter your e-mail address. Optionally, we ask you to enter your title, first name and surname. This information is only used to personalise the newsletter. We also ask you to provide optional information about your country. We only use this information to personalise the content of the newsletter to the interests of our readers.
Statistical survey and analyses
The newsletters contain a so-called “web-beacon”, i.e. a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from the MailChimp server when the newsletter is opened. As part of this retrieval, technical information, such as information about the browser and your system, as well as your IP address and time of retrieval, is initially collected. This information is used for the technical improvement of the services based on the technical data or the target groups and their reading behaviour based on their retrieval locations (which can be determined with the help of the IP address) or the access times.
The statistical surveys also include determining whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to individual newsletter recipients. However, it is neither our endeavour nor that of MailChimp to observe individual users. The analyses serve us much more to recognise the reading habits of our users and to adapt our content to them or to send different content according to the interests of our users.
Online access and data management
There are cases in which we direct newsletter recipients to the MailChimp website. For example, our newsletters contain a link that newsletter recipients can use to retrieve the newsletter online (e.g. in the event of display problems in the email programme). Newsletter recipients can also correct their data, such as their email address, at a later date. MailChimp’s privacy policy is also only available on their website.
In this context, we would like to point out that cookies are used on MailChimp websites and that personal data is therefore processed by MailChimp, its partners and the service providers used (e.g. Google Analytics). We have no influence on this data collection. Further information can be found in MailChimp’s privacy policy. We would also like to draw your attention to the options for objecting to the collection of data for advertising purposes on the websites http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ and http://www.youronlinechoices.com/ (for the European area).
Cancellation and revocation
You can cancel the receipt of our newsletter at any time, i.e. revoke your consent. Your consent to the sending of the newsletter via MailChimp and the statistical analyses will expire at the same time. Unfortunately, it is not possible to cancel the sending of the newsletter via MailChimp or the statistical analyses separately.
You will find a link to unsubscribe from the newsletter at the end of each newsletter.
We would also like to point out that you can object to the future processing of your personal data at any time in accordance with the legal requirements pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR. The objection can be made in particular against processing for direct marketing purposes. (Notes on the newsletter based on a sample from lawyer Dr Thomas Schwenke)
YOUR RIGHTS
In principle, you have the rights to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, cancellation and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection rights have been violated in any other way, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the data protection authority.
